2nd Annual Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu Street Fair.

On May 7, 2023 Albanian & American Open Hand Association in close collaboration with Mark Gjonaj and his team celebrated Gjergj Kastrioti's birthday, Albania's National Hero.  Albanians from all walks of lives participated in this commemorative celebration, from diaspora's best artists, representing Albanians from Shqiperia, Kosova, Maqedonia, Mali i Zi dhe Çameria, who performed hits from all Albanian Regions. This spectacular event was honored by the participation of American national, state and local elected officials. Kids enjoyed a great selection of free toys, inflatable rides, free face paintings with national flag symbols. Teenagers and adults danced non-stop to live music until the sunset. Restaurants were bustling with customers both inside and outdoors, where people enjoyed a cafe like setting. There were 50 red and black tents symbolizing the colors of Albanian flag. Tents offered a variety of traditional food and clothing. 

AAOHA and its Board would like to thank Mark Gjonaj and his team for the collaboration in organizing this monumental event, in making this festival a success, and a date to remember for the thousands in attendance. It's a great honor to have had the support and help of so many volunteers, who made sure the setting was a memorable moment for all who attended. 

With the success in mind, many fairgoers were eagerly looking forward to attending again next year.
